That’s why this week we’re spotlighting our Stress Awareness & Management course. Giving teams quick, practical tools to spot stress early, stay balanced, and avoid the burnout spiral.

Chamber AGM at the National Space Centre

This week we headed to the Chamber’s Annual General Meeting at the National Space Centre, where members gathered for a morning of networking, celebration, and forward thinking.

We heard reflections from outgoing President Dawn Whitemore and welcomed the transition to the next chapter under the new leadership of Dr Chamkaur Singh Kang. There were updates from the Chamber team, inspiring stories from this year’s King’s Award for Enterprise winners, and a spotlight on community foundations making real impact across the region.

Special shout out to one of the guest speakers, Emily Smith and Sean Smith from Michael Smith Switchgear Ltd. One of our customers, for taking the stage fresh off receiving the King’s Award for Sustainability. A serious achievement and a clear signal that they’re not just talking about responsible business… they’re actually doing it.

They walked us through the real journey: the long-term thinking, the practical changes, the commitment to doing business in a way that doesn’t cost the earth.

We also got to hear stories from Cosy Direct, Abacus Flooring Solutions Limited, and Structural Adhesives Limited a sharing of their experiences, that left us feeling inspired and genuinely excited for what’s ahead in 2026.

It was a reminder of the powerful work happening across East Midlands businesses and as proud patrons we’re excited for what next year has in store.
